Nanaimo Christian School Fundraising Event:
"STEVE BELL in Concert"
Singer, Songwriter, Storyteller
with special guests- The NCS Jazz Band

Thursday May 27 at 7pm

"Some say it's the singer, not the song. Some say it's the song, not the singer.
In Steve Bell's case, it's impossible to choose between the angel's voice and the angel."
Tom Jackson, Actor/Singer/Songwriter

Steve Bell's career began with a music-making family, grew into a personal fascination with playing guitar, evolved into the lifestyle of a working musician and found its fruition in the musical niche of songwriter.

In the late 1980's, deep in the midst of a significant spiritual re-awakening, Steve's passion for crafting artful songs was incomplete without a profound connection to his Christian spirituality.

Steve's latest album, Devotion, is the first project of his lengthy discography that is comprised of songs written for community worship. This album's style has been described as "bayou taize" - an engaging blend of roots & southern folk.  The lyrics draw on scripture and other ancient texts, offering a unique combination of depth and sing-ability for worship.
